Feed Our Vets Check Presentation

The annual 2022 CWA 1126/Leatherstocking Club Charity Golf Tournament was a huge success. We would like to thank everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets, and played in the tournament.

This year we teamed up with the LMK Foundation to raise over $3700 for Feed Our Vets headquartered in New York Mills.

Since 2009, Feed Our Vets has served over 40,000 Vets, distributing almost 3 million pounds of food and over $200,000 in gift cards. While it may be unthinkable to most that the Veterans of this country want for anything, Feed Our Vets steps in to serve the most basic needs for those who have served our country yet still cannot afford to put food on their own table.

Feed Our Vets holds their overhead to less than 10% annually. This year 94% of the funds raised went directly to helping Vets and their families. In September, they served 615 Vets and 1,474 of their dependents with over 44,000 pounds of food and over $3000 in gift cards.

CWA 1126 appreciates the help of the Community Services Committee and the Leatherstocking Club for their tireless efforts to raise money to help those that have helped us. We hope to see everyone again next year.
